There’s something special about the woods.
The way everything seems to slow down a little. The sound of leaves overhead. A quiet trail disappearing around the bend. The feeling that there’s always something new to notice if you take the time to look.
That feeling has always been a big part of what inspires us at Urban Blue Designs. We love the simple things that encourage us to slow down, be creative, and enjoy the world around us.
Now we have a place to share a little more of that with you.

Meet Milo
Every good collection of letters needs someone to keep an eye on the mailbox.
Meet Milo, our resident raccoon, woodland correspondent, occasional advice giver, and the official keeper of Letters from the Woods.
Milo spends his days wandering the trails, watching the seasons change, and noticing some of the little things the rest of us might walk right past. He’s curious about nearly everything and, like most raccoons, has a habit of getting into places he probably shouldn’t.
From time to time, he’ll be answering questions, sharing thoughts from the woods, and reminding us that creativity doesn’t need to be complicated or perfect.
Sometimes it can be as simple as sharpening your colored pencils, putting the screens away for a little while, and making something just because it makes you happy.
What Will You Find Here?
A little bit of everything that inspires us.
We’ll share coloring tips and techniques, from choosing color palettes and working with colored pencils to simple ideas that can help you enjoy your coloring time even more.
We’ll talk about creativity and slowing down—finding small ways to step away from the noise of everyday life, quiet a busy mind, and make a little more room for the things we enjoy.
We’ll take you behind the scenes at Urban Blue Designs, sharing where our ideas come from, the inspiration behind our coloring books and artwork, sneak peeks at what we’re creating, and some of the stories behind the pages.
So much of what we create is inspired by the world around us, we’ll wander beyond the coloring table, too.
We’ll explore forests, farms, gardens, changing seasons, woodland animals, nature, and all those wonderful little things that are easy to miss when life gets busy.
Mostly, we hope this becomes a place you enjoy visiting—a cozy corner of Urban Blue Designs where there’s always something interesting waiting for you.
